About Salou
Salou is a municipality located on the Costa Dorada, in the province of Tarragona. 10 km from the capital of the province and 8 km from the city of Reus, it is considered the capital of the Costa Dorada as it is its most important tourist destination and one of the main tourist destinations in the country.
Founded by the Greeks in the 6th century BC and considered a prominent commercial port in ancient times, it became an important tourist center throughout the 20th century, a condition that it retains to this day, culminating with the administrative independence of Salou at the end of 1989 and the construction of Port Aventura as the culmination of the urban development at the end of the century.
It has a typical Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot summers, perfect for the development of tourist and commercial activity in the place.

By train
The train is also a very good option to get to Salou. The AVE to Barcelona has connections with many cities in Spain, Madrid, Zaragoza, Seville, Valencia, Bilbao...the train will leave you in Barcelona, from here to Salou you will only have to make a transfer of just over an hour, or you can take the high-speed train to the new Camp de Tarragona station, just 20 minutes from the city.
By plane
Reus Airport is about ten minutes from Salou, and El Prat Airport, which serves flights from all cities on the planet, is also just over an hour away. Another airport, a little further away, is Girona, which is a couple of hours away by road.
