Salou is a municipality located on the Costa Dorada, in the province of Tarragona. 10 km from the capital of the province and 8 km from the city of Reus, it is considered the capital of the Costa Dorada as it is its most important tourist destination and one of the main tourist destinations in the country. <\/p>\n

Founded by the Greeks in the 6th century BC and considered a prominent commercial port in ancient times, it became an important tourist center throughout the 20th century, a condition that it retains to this day, culminating with the administrative independence of Salou at the end of 1989 and the construction of Port Aventura as the culmination of the urban development at the end of the century.<\/p>\n
